To TA East Members & Friends
From Ferg Muir

A classic race at Warwick looks to be in prospect after it emerged that among the entries is former TA Crit champion Sid Charlton, returning to the fray after quite a few years concentrating on career and family. There is no knowing what is the state of Sid’s fitness, of course, but Geoff Booker who has been champion the last three years and also in 2004 will also be on the start line and the battle between him and Charlton, champion in 1989, 1999, 2001,2003, 2005 and 2006 will be intriguing to see.

If you want to join in, there turns out to be still time – with only 7 trike entries organiser Pete Mooney says: “If you know of any other trike riders who would like to take part please inform them that I will take entries on the day – this only applies to the trike race”. Race is scheduled for 1.50pm on Sunday 5th.

EAST 50 – Sunday 19th September
Entries close for the East 50 on Tuesday 7th September.
The course is on the all-dual carriageway A11 Attleborough and Wymondham bypasses. If you like that sort of course it is undoubtedly one of the fastest.
Entry is £7.50 (or £15 per tandem) to Martin Badham, 9 St Pauls Close Horsford, NORWICH NR10 3HG.

The TA EAST AGM will be after the 50 at the event HQ – Morley Village Hall.

As I have been told to be ready to travel to Warwickshire at 10 am tomorrow, and I haven’t packed yet, I had better finish this now
Best wishes to you all
