TA EAST NEWS JUNE 28TH 2012
To TA East members and friends
From Ferg Muir
I am sorry to be telling you that Helen Morse died suddenly on 14th June. Helen had been married for 48 years to Geoff, who was our Regional Secretary for most of the last two decades.
Members will remember Helen accompanying Geoff to TA pub meets, and some of us have been privileged to stay at their book-filled house in Great Waldingfield. Helen was an apprentice-trained pharmacist who continued working until quite recently. She had a deep interest in the arts and in social matters and in later life took a social science degree via the Open University.
We missed Geoff and Helen at our Pin Mill meet in June, and at the time I assumed they were still on their spring camper-van holiday in Denmark. In fact they had just returned – after what Helen had said was their best-ever trip. But on the Thursday evening Geoff found Helen collapsed and she died in the West Suffolk Hospital of a large cerebral haemorrhage just before midnight.
Our sympathies are with their son Robert (of LifecycleUK) and daughter Sheila and their families.
A Farewell Service for Helen will be held on Thurs 5th July at the West Suffolk Crematorium, Risby near Bury St Edmunds, IP28 6RR at 2.15pm, followed by a wake at Risby Village Hall.

If anyone knows of a 21 or 22 inch frame lightweight trike for sale, please let me know as I hear of a Suffolk clubman who is on the lookout for one.
PIN MILL There were just six of us at our Friday evening meet at Pin Mill but only Roy Prockter on a tricycle. I would have been on mine, but I decided to be sociable to accept the Chairman’s offer of a lift, as his recovery has reached the stage where he can press down car pedals but not yet rotate tricycle ones.
However, I had slight nostalgia for my usual train and trike mode when, as we drove towards darkest Norfolk at 10.30pm, Martin noticed that we didn’t have enough petrol to get home.
Rather than proceed in hope, we doubled back and found an open Shell station in metropolitan Ipswich so all was well in the end.
Best Wishes to you all
