MEET AT MONKS ELEIGH & BOXFORD

This is mainly to put you in mind of coming to our next Meet on SATURDAY 14 DECEMBER in Suffolk and to add the LUNCH VENUE

As stated in the Autumn TA Gazette we are meeting:for coffee at Corncraft, Monks Eleigh.

Grid Ref TL973476. That’s on the A1141, just on the Hadleigh side of Monks Eleigh IP7 7AY.

I can now tell you that lunch will be The Fleece Hotel, Boxford. Thanks to Geoff Morse for checking this venue out for us.

The Fleece is run by the same family who have the Mill Green Brewery and the White Horse at nearby Edwardstone, where we have always been exceptionally well looked after.

East Region Members Mileage – Ron Fisher Trophy

The Ron Fisher Trophy is awarded to the East Region member who records the greatest distance in National TA Tricycle Mileage Chart Competition (administered by John Lewis) during the year from 1^st October to 30^th September.

So this is a reminder to any more East members who have been recording trike miles, to send a copy of their charts to John at 86 Grosvenor Road, Ilford IG1 1LA

And East members who want to submit a chart next Autumn need to be recording their mileage since October 1^st. It may just be in time for a serviceable memory and a map measurer to be called into play.

Ron Fisher was our regional secretary for many years until his death in, I think, 1982.

At the recent CTT National AGM, the CTT National Committee withdrew their proposal regarding only permitting commercially available machines to compete, while the proposal to bump up Affilliation Fees for organisations passing on only small numbers of CTT Levies was heavily defeated.
