FINE WEATHER FORECAST FOR PIN MILL MEET TOMORROW
Weather forecasts for tomorrow show a big yellow sun
So – do come to the TA EAST MEET –THURSDAY 1st JUNE
At the BUTT & OYSTER, PIN MILL, by the Orwell Estuary, Chelmondiston, near Ipswich, 7pm onwards – mundane details at the end of this brief newsletter.
THROUGH A GATEWAY TO PARADISE
As you turn left off the road from Ipswich, you pass under trees through a kind of Gateway to Paradise – onto a narrow road that wobbles down the side of a ravine-like valley – which will concentrate any tricyclist’s mind – and arrive at a waterside hamlet with a boatyard and the Butt & Oyster pub.
Tomorrow high tide is about 5pm, so the waters will quietly recede as the sun drops to the horizon.
We will probably sit outside, so have an extra warm layer handy.
Many of us, but not all, will have a meal.
Do join us.
Just one other piece of news:
VERA STAINES (Former TA National Competition Secretary)
Vera’s son-in-law tells me that Vera is “Bright and cheerful” in Papworth Hospital after a successful operation one week ago to remove a tumour on her heart.
Those details:
Next Meet is at The BUTT & OYSTER, PIN MILL near Ipswich on THURSDAY 1st JUNE, from about 7pm onwards.
(This event somehow escaped being listed in the Spring TA Gazette)
To find PIN MILL go to Chelmondiston village on the B1456, about 6 mls SE of Ipswich. Once there, turn north to drop down to the waterside hamlet of Pin Mill. Grid ref is TM205380 Postcode: IP9 1JW
Best Wishes to you All
