WRONG DATE FOR OUR PIN MILL MEET

The correct date for our MEET AT PIN MILL is

THURSDAY 7^TH JUNE 2018

(A week later than I said in the previous TA East E-News)

All the other details were correct

I am advised to blame this mistake on a Senior Moment

It does at least give me an opportunity to update you on:

How Martin Badham is getting on after his trike puddle-plunge a month ago.

The infection has subsided, but Martin is still having to attend surgery every three days to have the dressing changed

This is rather fortunate, really, because this morning…….

He had been at the informal cyclists Tuesday morning gathering at Reepham Station Cafe.

Heading – on his classic Carlton bicycle – down the hill out of the village, Martin and his companion-at-the-front just went too fast…….

So going up the other side of the valley, towards Booton church, they had to go really slowly to let the rest catch up.

And our hero wobbled   and lost it    and subsided on the bank…cutting his leg just above the aforementioned dressing.

However …as he already had a 2:30pm appointment for the next dressing change.

It was …as he put it……     “Two patches for the price of one”

Martin has, I think, five tricycles somewhere around at home.
