On Facebook, “Legends of the RTTC” Tom’s son James reported that his father, Tom, passed away early on Friday, 4th July, peacefully. He was a former member of the Tricycle Association, London East Region and once held Competition record at 10 miles on the tricycle. He also held several RRA records on the tandem. In later years he was president of the Southgate Cycling Club and Pedal Club amongst other roles, and also a BCF official and volunteer, including on the Milk Race and at the 2012 Olympics. I remember him winning the TA East Region 12 hour, which was my first attempt at the distance. I also met him many times at various racing and social events. He has joined the club run in the sky.
