The Irish Adventure

The date of the OldVelos Vintage Classic has been changed to July 14, 2019 to tie it in with the Comeraghs Wild Festival.  More information is available in Brendan Hennessy’s article in the forthcoming Winter Gazette.  The date change may, of course, not fit in with some plans, and Brendan is conscious of the priority for some of the Thames Valley Quendon Run.  Myra and I are still intending to cross over to Ireland for the Classic, and we hope that others will join us.  If you are still interested, please let me know and I will keep you informed as more detail of the programme becomes available.

Best wishes

Roger

There is limited accommodation at Kierseys. A block booking has been made. Contact Brendan on: hennessy_brendan@hotmail.com as soon as possible if you hope to make use of this. I suggest booking for Friday, Saturday and Sunday to make the most of the weekend. Myra and I have already booked.

Information about Kiersey’s can be found on their website: www.kierseysbarandtearoom.ie

Camping is available at Casey’s Caravan Park, Clonea Strand, Dungarvan, which is some twelve or fifteen miles from Kilmacthomas.

A brief check on the internet suggests there is plenty of accommodation in and around both Waterford and Dungarvan.

Calendar Notes

For Diary Dates beyond those displayed, in the past or future, click on 'View Calendar', then Events can be filtered according the Category. These accumulate so one can filter for South Western Time Trials by choosing 'South West Event' and 'Time Trial' but remember to close filters down by choosing the Filter again before another filter. Dates in the Past or Future can be accessed by clicking on the '<' or '>' either side of the Month display.
