Left JOG this morning with a young man who was starting the reverse trip and going the same way as me. He is supported by his dad so carrying nothing on his bike. Basically we went along the A99 and A9 the fast route down to Black Rock caravan and camping site where he was pre booked. That saved me looking for somewhere.
Unbelievably we had a tail wind all day. Good road and apart from Berriedale and a gentle climb out of Helmsdale the route was reasonably flat. 105 miles today. We will ride together for the next two days. After which we have completely different routes.
I told Black Stig to get lost as he is unreliable. I suspect he will badger me from time to time though.
At the campsite I was offered a wooden hut complete with heater, microwave, kettle, tea, coffee and biscuits for just £10.00 Couldn’t refuse really could I.
Heading for Fort William tomorrow
