Day 9
Hi all
Better day today 76 miles total. Climbed over 1000 ft in the first 4.5 miles. Levelled out alot after that until Tintern Abbey, then there was a massive climb up a tiny single track lane. Bottom gear all the way and out of the saddle.
Picture tells the story. The orange dot is where I was at the top of the climb.
Passed through Chew Magna, Corston, Pucklechurch, Iron Acton, Alveston, over the Severn Bridge, Tinturn, Coleford, Symonds Yat, and now at Ross. Being Wales, it is now RAINING. ?Geoff

Being in a position of power, Mr. President, does not allow you to make rude remarks about Wales and rain – even if there may be a modicum of truth in it. You will no doubt be making for the English border tout suite!
Iechyd da, boyo!
In my humble experience the roads in Wales are much better generally than those in England.
Tintern Abbey brings back fond memories of the Bryan Chapman 600k – it’s the last long climb before the dive down to Chepstow.
And if it’s any consolation, raining here too!!
Wet commute this morning.
Thanks for keeping those of us not on Face book etc posted.
I enjoy reading your latest news every evening.
Take care,
Oz
Count yourself luck in 1985 I did top to bottom in 15 days all soaking wet! It only stopped raining 10 miles out from Lands End.
