It was a foggy morning that greeted us at the start of the Tricycle Association (Eastern Region) Open 25 today, which a promise of heavier moisture to follow. Of the six entries five tricyclists started, being a higher percentage than the following bicycle events, except for the 2-up riders with each others company all the way round. New trikie David Mason came to the fore early on before the puncture fairy struck. The remaining barrows processed to the turn and returned to the finish, with Les Young scooping fastest (1:12:39 and first handicap (1:05:59). Gary Guntrip was second (1:25:27) (1:14:27) and Pete Holland, third (1:29:40) and second handicap (1:06:40). For full result see the Results page for 2019.
Safely back in the village hall HQ, the rain started to come down, and the planned club run to the lunchtime pub was carried out by car.
