Eastern Region 25 – 9th April

On as perfect a day as one can expect in early April, seven tricyclists lined up to contest the Eric Madgett Memorial 25. Ian Pike of the Fenland RC roared through the field to be first on the road on the return from Thetford. Lez Young battled through for second place and first on handicap.

Over tea and cake at the finish, we socialised and discussed plans for the forthcoming season before Eastern Captain Ferg Muir led half a dozen trikies through lanes adorned with spring flowers the The King’s Head in North Lopham where we took our splendid meals outside to eat in the sunshine. Back then to Bressingham Village Hall for fond farewells after a very enjoyable day.

You should have joined me on the Friday Night Ride to Whitstable, although a year older, I was 11 minutes faster – still lanterne rouge though.
