What is the Association all about?
The Tricycle Association was formed in 1928 to provide social and competitive activities for Club tricyclists throughout the UK. Membership is open to those with an interest in tricycles and tricycling.
What does it offer to its members?
Throughout the year the Association organises social activities and tricycle races. These form a focus for this small elite body of enthusiasts to come together to exchange ideas, views and yarns; as does the quarterly published Gazette
How much does it cost to join?
Full membership is £10 per year
Family membership is £5 per year
There is a registration fee of £3 for new members
Overseas members may receive the Gazettes in digital form but those wishing to receive the Gazettes in printed form must pay a supplement of £5.00 for Europe and £10.00 for the rest of the world. This is to contribute to the postage costs.
Subscriptions may be paid by cheque to the Membership Secretary, by cash to any Officer of the Association, by direct transfer into the TA Bank Account (telephone or e-bankers) or by Standing Order. Direct Debit is not available nor can any person within the Association receive telephone payment.
If you wish to pay by direct transfer you will find the bank details on the renewal form but you must still complete an application form and e-mail or post it to the Membership Secretary.
How do I apply for membership?
A Membership Application Form can be downloaded which you can then fill in and send off with your joining fee and annual subscription.

It is advisable for overseas applicants to contact the Membership Secretary before applying.

Which Region do I join?
For administrative purposes the UK has been divided into Association Regions. Most members are in the Region that suits them best geographically; but you are free to choose any. There are an increasing number of members in the “Overseas” Region
Who can I contact locally?
Once you have joined the Association you will be sent a copy of the Handbook, and our quarterly magazine. These contain a membership list, contact numbers and regional officers throughout the country. They will be happy to offer help and advice. Overseas members may find a restricted list of e-mail addresses of participating members helpful
Do I need a trike to join ?
No, not necessarily!
The “Sales & Wants” page in the Tricycle Association Gazette provides a market place for tricycles. Advertising is free for members, £5 for non-members.
