A.E.C. Harrison (“Ted”) born 18/02/1916 died 07/08/1992
Seat near village hall, Bethersden, Kent. There are memorial plaques to other cyclists on this seat in addition to the one for Ted.

A.S. Layzell (“Alf”) born 1907 died 11/03/1979
Seat and gravestone in cemetery, Richmond, North Yorkshire.

The seat and gravestone were funded by T.A. Alf was a prolific mile-eater and was buried where he died whilst still getting the miles in.
A.L. Littlemore (“Allan”) born 1910 died 1993
Seat in Acton Lane, Acton Bridge, Cheshire. Half a mile west off the A49.

President 1988-1990. Funding for the seat was by contributions from his many cycling and non-cycling friends.
L. Morris (“Lewis”) died 1974
Seat originally in grounds of St Briavels Youth Hostel, Gloucestershire and Seat and Table originally in grounds of Duntisbourne Abbotts Youth Hostel, Gloucestershire. The Table at Duntisbourne rotted and was removed, the seat remained and was moved to Slimbridge Y.H. when Duntisbourne closed in 1999. Then the seats at St.Briavals and Slimbridge fell into disrepair and were removed. The plaques from the seats and the table were recovered and are now in the care of the National Secretary. The T.A., Gloucester City C.C., C.T.C. and Y.H.A. were joint subscribers. There is also a memorial plaque still in situ at Lapworth Locks, Warwickshire (Grid ref: ) where Lewis died.

J. Catt (“Jim”) born 12/12/1918 died 8/09/2003
Seat in garden of Lord Whiskey Café, Rhodes Minnis, Kent. Between Ashford and Dover, 6 miles NW of Folkstone.

T.A., Fellowship of Kent and Sussex Cyclists and Potterers C.C. were joint subscribers.
Jim was a stalwart of the South Eastern Region. A plaque in memory of Ron Taylor, a good friend
of Jim’s was added to the seat in 2009.
Tommy Thompson born 05/08/1939 died 22/04/2007
Seat of steel construction with ends representing two “penny farthings” situated overlooking the JCB cows on Sustrans Coast to Coast path near Beamish Museum.
Grid ref: NZ 217536. Members of the T.A. and Houghton C.C. raised funds for the seat and it was partly made by friends and club-mates.
Tommy was made a Life Member of the T.A. in 1966 for exceptional service in the North Eastern Region, he was Regional Secretary from 1967 until his death.
William Charles (Bill) Finch born 06/10/1935 died 10/01/2008
Seat situated at a point on the North Downs in Trosley Country Park with views over the Kent
countryside. Grid ref: TQ 645615
Funded by contributions from Bill’s club, the C.C. Bexley and the T.A.
Bill was made a Life Member of the T.A. in 1996 for outstanding services to the Association nationally and in the South East Region. President 2005 until his death in office in January 2008 and Time Trial Secretary 2000-2005.
