Hello. I’m afraid I know nothing about the Tricycle Association, but I think I know something about Roger Burchett. He was a year older than me but I overlapped him at the Harvey Grammar School, Folkestone. For a while he was a good friend and we visited each other’s homes to play and for tea (we would have cycled). He was generous towards me, and at one time gave me some of his Meccano to add to my collection. I recall he had a good sense of humour, some of which I picked up. In connexion with that I also recall he introduced me to the Goon Show on the radio, something my parents could neither understand nor enjoy!
After all this time I have only come across him because I am writing a memoir of my early life and, as he was formative in it, I wondered what I might find if I Googled his name. Voilà!
I am sorry to learn of his death, but am very pleased to have found out a bit more about him through your Website.
