It is with great sadness that I have to tell you that Shelagh died peacefully in The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital on Thursday 23rd March 2017. She fought her debilitating physical condition bravely for many years but in the last 2 weeks she became ill with flu then a chest infection and could continue the fight for life no longer.
A service of thanksgiving to celebrate Shelagh’s life will be held at St Michael and All Angels Church, Loppington, Shropshire on Thursday 6th April at 12 noon, followed by refreshments then at 4pm burial at Fenns Meadow Green Burial Ground.
Family flowers only. Donations to Parkinson’s UK (Shrewsbury Branch) and the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra.
I would like those who intend to cycle there to come in your club kit.
Please park at the Village Hall nearby. There will also be space for cycles at the hall.
Those who wish to ride with me to the Burial Ground should be prepared to leave Loppington at 3pm. Those who will travel by car should follow the hearse which is expected to leave at 3.30pm.
The Burial ground is wet and muddy at present. You should bring wellies. It is a 400yd walk to the graveside and I am sorry that it is not suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Please pass this email on to other friends as you think fit.
Many thanks to you all for your support and kindness over the years.
