Thank you from Jane

We arrived home yesterday after a leisurely – for me – drive down from The Top in stages. During the ride, my fantastic support crew gave me some of the messages that had been posted which did a lot to drive me on and lift my spirits but yesterday I was able to experience the ride again, reading the forum postings from start to finish from the comfort of a couch and with a cup of tea and a tube of Jaffa cakes.
Although I had been told about the level of support, I didn’t really grasp it until I read the forum.
Thank you to everyone who posted updates and messages and to all those who were out on the road seeing me through or just giving us a shout and a wave. You have no idea how much you helped and what that meant..
I apologise for not being able to stick to the schedule and for keeping some of you waiting and missing others but I did try not to run too far info the fourth night as I know from personal experience that stalking riders on forums is not good for sleep!
The 1000 will have to wait for another day. A niggling achilles was the deciding factor, along with “saddle soreness”, not to continue despite having the time. Instead the team spent a very enjoyable day back at John ‘o Groats having lunch and a cruise around Stroma, followed by dinner in Thurso.
Thanks again for all the support.

Jane, well done again. It was really great to keep up to date as you were going along. Sorry I was at work and could only pop out once.
You have won a free entry to the National Midlands Trike 25 or 10. Jaffa cakes a plenty. Please post now!
