The Mersey Roads Club ’24’ incorporating the RTTC National 24 hour Championships for men and women was held over the weekend of 23rd/24th of July. The TA was represented by two tricycle entries, one in each event. Dave Minter (Audax UK) rode unsupported to a very creditable 337.76 miles for 24th place of the 31 finishers. 18-year-old Rose Price (Derby Mercury & Born 2 Bike-Bridgtown Cycles), riding her first time trial with the support her dad and a team from Derby Mercury, achieved 265.04 miles as 4th of the 4 women who all completed the event. A wet night mean’t that 14 men succumbed to the conditions and failed to finish!

My summary report on the Mersey Roads ’24’ gives full details. The full CTT Result can be viewed on their website.

  1. Excellent job from both Dave and Rose.

I am wondering if Rose might be a good Guest of Honour for our annual reunion in October. Would be great to hear her thoughts and musings on her epic event
